AU Patient Summary Consumer Journey Jan 2025 (feedback request)

Sparked is requesting feedback on the following 5 Australian Patient Summary Consumer Journeys that have been developed by the AU Patient Summary Clinical Focus Group to help understand and frame discussions around the Patient Summary clinical workflows, discussing wide clinical scenarios, unbound by system capabilities, and to tease out questions around the use of the patient summary, including workflow, policy, infrastructure, etc.​

The consumer journeys developed are:

  • Interstate GP Visit​
  • Emergency Hospital Attendance​
  • Referral to Specialist & Allied Health​
  • Hospital to Aged Care Interstate Transfer​
  • Pre-operative Surgical Journey​

These consumer journeys have been shared and discussed at the face-to-face Sparked CDG and the AU Patient Summary FHIR Project in November​ 24.

The AU Patient Summary FHIR Project has provided feedback to these consumer journeys and have nominated Interstate GP visit, Emergency Hospital Attendance and Referral to Specialist & Allied Health​ to be of interest for development of AU Patient Summary FHIR IG.
