Sparked is the modern implementation of Health Care in Australia, and the best way forward for all Australian’s – A community lead project, for healthcare in Australia
🤔 What is something that you hope to achieve within the Sparked program?
My work with the College is in Radiology Terminology, so I am very invested in eRequesting, and would love to see a functional eRequest platform for Radiology and Medical Imaging orders.
🤔 How is the Sparked program different to projects you’ve been involved in before?
The community aspect, and open involvement is what makes sparked different to any national project I have seen or been involved in. Everybody’s willingness from all aspects of the population and healthcare turning up and contributing.

Such a friendly team, and everybody is more than happy to explain something further if needed, offer their advice, or jump into a discussion when needed.
🤔 What would you tell someone wanting to learn more about the Sparked project?
Come along. It’s that simple. Check the webpage and find the next meeting for the area you want to be involved with. Shoot off your registration and join the discussions.
🤔 How will the goals and outcomes of the Sparked Program impact your field/industry/profession?
Medical Imaging has been asking for this for many years. I feel this will make a huge difference to Medical imaging both immediately and in the long run.
🤔 What’s your favourite Sparked/FHIR pun?
We’re on FHIR (or any variance) || All I want for Christmas is interoperability.
