Sparked Bright Sparks: Paris Majot

We spoke to Paris about her involvement in the Sparked Community, here’s what she had to say!

❓What is your background?

I started my career as a nurse in cardiothoracic care and ICU before falling health tech about a decade ago. Now, I work in sales and strategy, helping healthcare organisations implement digital solutions that improve patient care.

❓ How did you first hear about Sparked and what made you want to become involved?

I first heard about Sparked through ADHA.  What drew me in was the opportunity to connect with other digital health tragics who are genuinely passionated about driving change in healthcare.

❓ What do you see as the best outcomes that Sparked has delivered or is working towards?

Sparked is creating a space where fresh ideas meet real-world impact. It’s not just about networking, it’s about making tangible improvements in digital health leveraging existing standards and building upon them

❓ How is Sparked different to projects you’ve been involved in before?

The energy is different. Sparked feels more like a movement than a program. it’s a collective of people from all parts of the ecosystem who actually do things, not just talk about them.

❓ What is something you’ve learnt from being part of the Sparked community?

That great ideas don’t have to come from a room of execs. Some of the most innovative thinking happens in casual conversations over a round table and an A3 sheet of paper!

❓ Can you share one of your favourite or memorable moments from participating in Sparked?

Seeing a suggestion I made during a CDG group discussion become part of the AU PS data elements was a memorable moment. It was one of those rare moments where you can see the impact you’re making in real-time. I had this overwhelming feeling of, “Yes, I’m here, and I’m making a difference”. Even more rewarding is knowing that in a few years, my kids will benefit from these changes when they’re travelling.

❓ What excites you most about the future with Sparked?

I guess it’s the unknown… Every Sparked event brings new people, new ideas, and new challenges to tackle.

❓ What’s something unexpected that you’ve learnt/been a part of/connected with through Sparked?

 I didn’t expect to find such a strong community so quickly. There’s a real sense of shared purpose here.

❓ How would you explain Sparked to someone not yet involved?

It’s like an accelerator for ideas, powered by  people who actually care and want to make a difference in digital health.

❓ What piece of advice would you share to someone who may not yet be a part of Sparked?

I’d say: Just turn up. You don’t have to have big ideas.. just be open to learning and connecting, and the rest will follow 😊

❓ If you had to describe Sparked in three words, what would they be?

MORE FIRE PUNS! No, seriously:  Bold. Collaborative. Impactful.

❓ If Sparked had a theme song, what would it be?

Allumer Le Feu from Johnny Halliday (a French classic!)
